Insecurity: Matawalle seals strong defence relations for Nigeria in China

In a bid to build formidable ties with high-tech experts to ensure sustainable peace and a crime-free Nigeria, the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, has traversed the heart of Beijing, China.

In a statement made available to Discoverer Nigeria, signed by his media adviser, Dr. Lawal Umar Maradun, said the Minister was in the country’s diplomatic quarters, “having a number of high-level discussions which included closed-door meetings aimed at redefining Nigeria’s defence architecture.

“Surrounded by senior military officers in his entourage as well as special advisers, Matawalle occupied the center stage at all the meetings to promote President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda of revamping the Security sector of the Nigeria.”

The statement added that in each of the inspections of the military hardware, the Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence paid ardent attention to details with eyes sharp and with clear purpose.

“Matawalle’s China mission is aimed at securing advanced security collaborations with Chinese Defence Indusgries that would stregthen Tinubu’s stance on Nigeria’s defense Industry.

“The Minister has had a number of sessions and panels of discussion with top Chinese defense technology experts.

“Matawalle has made convincing round table discussions with the Chinese high tech experts expressing Nigeria’s readiness to strengthen its security and technological innovation that can compete with global best practices.

“Similarly, Matawalle believed that the mission is beyond partnerships, but it is a stepping stone into redefining Nigeria’s future of high tech and innovation in the security industry.”
