Luis Enrique speaks on Ancelotti’s move to Brazil

Luis Enrique, speaking in PSG’s pre-match press conference, addressed Carlo Ancelotti’s move to the Brazil national team.
The Spaniard made it clear he wishes success only for Spain, not for the Italian or the Selecao.
Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique praised Carlo Ancelotti as “a remarkable figure on and off the pitch” but stopped short of sending good wishes to the Italian in his upcoming role with Brazil.
“I’m not going to wish him success, because I want my national team to have the most success,” Luis Enrique said on Friday, ahead of PSG’s final league match against Auxerre.
“But I think it’s good that an Italian can coach Brazil. It’s a positive combination,” he added.
The PSG manager, however, had warm words for Ancelotti, who will leave Real Madrid for the Brazil job. “No one else has had a career like Carlo Ancelotti. He’s a truly outstanding person both on and off the field,” he said.
Luis Enrique kept things brief when asked about the Champions League final against Inter Milan on 31 May, a match that could see PSG lift their first European crown under Qatari ownership.
“We’re in the best moment of the season – it’s the moment we’ve been dreaming of. We’re focused on finishing in the best way possible. Next season will come later,” he concluded.
Before facing Inter, PSG will play Auxerre on Saturday and Reims in the Coupe de France final on 24 May.
