NDA confirms date for 2025 screening test

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has officially announced that the screening test for candidates seeking admission into its 77 Regular Course will be conducted on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
This was confirmed in a statement by the Academy’s spokesperson, Major Mohammad Maidawa, who revealed that the screening forms part of the rigorous selection process for applicants who selected NDA as their first-choice institution in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to the statement, only candidates who meet the minimum UTME score of 180 will be eligible to participate in the screening test. However, candidates applying for engineering-related courses must score at least 210.
Eligible applicants will be allowed to select their preferred screening centres. Those who successfully scale through the screening stage will be invited to the Armed Forces Selection Board, where they will undergo further assessments including medical, physical, and psychological evaluations.
The final list of admitted candidates will be published on the NDA official website and in national newspapers.
Meanwhile, the Academy raised concerns over the activities of fraudsters operating fake social media accounts, impersonating NDA to mislead unsuspecting applicants and extort money under the guise of admission assistance.
The NDA strongly urged candidates and the general public to rely only on verified communication channels for information.
For further inquiries, applicants are advised to contact the NDA Registry via [email protected].
