Nigerian Correctional Service seeks public’s assistance in recapturing escapees

The Nigerian Correctional Service has released a list of inmates who escaped from the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Suleja, FCT Command, following a perimeter wall collapse due to heavy rainfall on April 24, 2024.
The service is urging the public to be on the lookout for these fugitives, who pose a danger to public safety and national security. To aid in their recapture, the Nigerian Correctional Service has deployed various strategies, including overt and covert operations, and has beefed up security in custodial facilities nationwide.
The public is encouraged to report any sightings of the escapees to the nearest security agent or agency or call the following numbers: 07087086005, 09060004598, or 08075050006. Alternatively, the public can contact the Nigerian Correctional Service via email at info@corrections.gov.ng or complaintsresponsedesk@corrections.gov.ng.
The full list of escapees has been published on the Nigerian Correctional Service’s website and social media channels. The public’s cooperation is crucial in ensuring the recapture of these fugitives and maintaining public safety.
