Nollywood actress in tears after AMVCA nomination

Nollywood actress, Uche Montana, was overwhelmed with emotions after receiving a nomination for Best Lead Actress at the 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Montana secured the prestigious nod for her performance in Thin Line, placing her in fierce competition with other top actresses, including Chioma Chukwuka (Seven Doors), Gbubemi Ejeye (Farmer’s Bride), Uzoamaka Onuoha (Agemo), Uzoamaka Aniunoh (Phoenix Fury), Hilda Dokubo (Wives on Strike 3), and Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: The Rise of the Spectre).
Reacting to the news, the actress took to her Instagram story, sharing a video of herself bursting into tears of joy. In the clip, she could be heard screaming in excitement, struggling to contain her emotions.
“I can’t believe it; Best Actress AMVCA 2025!” she captioned the video, reflecting her shock and gratitude.
Her nomination has since sparked a wave of excitement among fans and industry colleagues, who have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating her remarkable milestone in Nollywood.
