Nuno Espirito Santo extends Nottingham Forest contract

Nottingham Forest have confirmed that manager Nuno Espirito Santo has signed a new three-year contract until 2028, following a historic season that saw the club qualify for European competition.
Nottingham Forest have officially announced the renewal of Nuno Espirito Santo for three seasons until the summer of 2028.
The 51-year-old, who joined the club in December 2023, qualified the club for the Conference League for the 2025-2026 season.
A seventh-place finish in the Premier League was the club’s best result in three decades, cementing a historic campaign for the English club. Highlights of the season included away wins over Liverpool and Manchester United, as well as the club’s best run of top-flight victories since 1967.
Nuno was named manager of the month on three occasions, enhancing his reputation in his third spell in the English dugout after spells at Wolverhampton and Tottenham.
The coach expressed his satisfaction with the renewal: “I am delighted to be able to continue our journey at this fantastic football Club. Since we arrived at Forest, we have worked extremely hard to create a special bond between the players, the fans and everyone at the Club, which helped us achieve great things last season. Now is the time to work harder than ever as we strive for more special memories together”.
Meanwhile, owner Evangelos Marinakis highlighted Nuno’s positive impact on the club: “has made a great impact and performed very well during his time with us so far. He has demonstrated that he maximises player performance and is an expert at developing players, whilst also embedding our young talent into the first team set-up.”
“We enjoy a strong and solid relationship together and, above all, we share the same dream and ambition of writing a new history for Nottingham Forest, competing in the Premier League and in Europe and winning trophies for our great club!”
