Transfer: Man Utd put £40m price on Rashford

Manchester United have set a £40 million asking price for Marcus Rashford as the club prepare to offload the forward this summer following his loan spell at Aston Villa.
While Aston Villa took him on a short-term deal in January, they do not hold any exclusive rights to buy him once the season ends, meaning rival clubs can swoop in with matching offers.
Although Rashford remains under contract at Old Trafford until 2028, his future at Manchester United looks uncertain, particularly with Ruben Amorim expected to stay on as coach.
The Englishman is currently due to report back for pre-season in July, but both the club and the player are believed to favour a permanent move elsewhere.
Though a permanent transfer is the priority, United have not ruled out another loan if no suitable buyer is found. Rashford is understood to prefer a move to a Champions League club.
