Why Igbos should support Tinubu’s economic reforms – Henry Ikoh

The Chairman of the governing council of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo State, Ozurumba Henry Ikoh has called on Igbo elites and business community to rally support behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to succeed in his well articulated economic reforms programs.
Chief Ikoh, a frontline Abia State Governorship hopeful for 2027 made the statement while addressing a cross section of Abia State Business men and women from Aba and Umuahia who paid him a solidarity visit at Owerri
Ozurumba Henry Ikoh ceased the opportunity to encourage them in their business activities, emphasizing “on private sector participation as being an integral part in the march towards the development of the state and enhanced revenue generations.”
The former Minister of Science and Technology pleaded with the business men not to relent in their resolve to cite their businesses in the State but rather encourage other investors to come and invest their business in Abia State.
He said: “By so doing their contributions will improve the economy of the State, reduce unemployment and poverty.”
Responding, the head of the delegation, High Chief S. N. D Kalu employed Ozurumba Ikoh to consider the request to contest the 2027gGovernorship election by indigenes of Abia State.
Chief Kalu, who enumerated the giant strides accomplished by Chief Ikoh in the private sector as an entrepreneur, added that his success created job opportunities for youths in the State and also served as an inspiration to most of them.
Chief Ikoh used the occasion to advise Abians to shun politics of bitterness , and unite to move the State foward.
He described the way and manner people engage in blackmail and mudslinging against each as a very sad development which can be retrogressive.
In his final remarks, the host, Chief Ikoh said Abians should not regard politics as a means to an end but rather an opportunity to serve the people of the State.
