Inter in talks to sign Okoye

Inter Milan are in talks to sign goalkeeper Maduka Okoye from Udinese.
Football Italia reports that Inter Milan has made significant headway in their pursuit of Maduka Okoye, the highly sought-after 24-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper.
Maduka Okoye, currently away on international duty with Nigeria for their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic, impressed significantly in the 2023-2024 season as Udinese’s standout goalkeeper, prompting intense interest from Inter Milan and other top clubs eager to secure his services.
He started in all his 21 appearances across their 38 fixtures, keeping five Serie A clean sheets, including their final day’s 1-0 win over Frosinone on May 26.
Okoye deserves all the accolades and attentions he is getting for working hard to resuscitate his career.
Prior to joining Udinese from Watford in August 2023, Okoye made zero league appearances for the Championship side.
He first tasted Serie A action for Udinese on December 30, 2023, as a starter against Bologna and thereafter kept every match involving his team.
His sterling campaign also revived his international career, with new Super Eagles coach Finidi George left with no option to recall him for the World Cup qualifiers, opening an intense and intriguing rivalry for the number one shirt with Stanley Nwabali.
