Breaking: ICPC ex-chairman announced dead


Former chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Justice Emmanuel Ayoola, has been announced dead.
He died at the age of 90.
His death was confirmed in a statement released by his family on Wednesday.
The statement expressed the family’s deep gratitude for his long and impactful life: “With heartfelt gratitude to the Lord Almighty, for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing away of our beloved Dad, granddad, great-granddad, brother, uncle, benefactor, and friend, Hon. Justice Emmanuel Olayinka Ayoola (JSC, rtd; CON).”
Justice Ayoola was known for his distinguished career in the judiciary and his role in leading the ICPC, where he was instrumental in the fight against corruption in Nigeria.
His passing marks the end of a significant chapter in Nigeria’s legal history, and he will be remembered for his contributions to justice and integrity in public service.
