The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has expressed joy over the Supreme Court verdicts affirming the elections of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and his Kogi State counterpart Alhaji Usman Ododo as duly elected governors in their respective states.
In a statement Sunday in Abuja, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje extended his congratulations to both governors on their resounding victories at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, which upheld their electoral victories.
He said the landmark judgment is not only a testament to the confidence that the people of Imo and Kogi States have placed in the APC and its candidates but also a reaffirmation of the rule of law and the integrity of Nigeria’s judicial system.
The two-time governor stated further that the APC is proud of the exceptional leadership displayed by both governors in their respective states, which has undoubtedly contributed to the overall progress in their states.
“Dr. Ganduje commends the Supreme Court for its thorough and unbiased adjudication, which has further strengthened the democratic fabric of our great nation.
“He urges both Governor Uzodimma and Governor Ododo to continue their outstanding work in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of their states and to uphold the values and principles that the APC stands for.
“The APC National Chairman also acknowledges the support and resilience of the party members and supporters in the Imo and Kogi States throughout the electoral process and the subsequent legal battles. Their dedication to the party’s ideals has been instrumental in this victory.”
The statement, however, assured the governors of the APC’s full support as they continue to lead their states to greater heights stating that APC remains committed to ensuring good governance and the welfare of all Nigerians.
