Maulud: Gombe NUJ felicitates with Muslims, advocates peaceful reporting

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Gombe State Council, has felicitated with the Muslim community in the state in commemoration of the birth of the holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
According to Comrade Faruk Muazu Gombe, Chairman of the NUJ Gombe State Council, “As we mark this significant occasion, we reflect on the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that emphasize peace, love, and compassion.
“I urge journalists and media practitioners to uphold the values of integrity, fairness, and balance in their reporting, especially during this period.”, he said.
The NUJ chairman extended warm greetings to all Muslim journalists, media practitioners, and the entire Muslim Ummah in the state, praying that the celebration brings peace, unity, and progress in Gombe State and Nigeria at large.
He emphasised the importance of integrity and fairness in journalism, tasking journalists on promoting peaceful and balanced reporting.
