GTBank completes transition to advanced core banking app system

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has announced an unexpected delay in the reopening of its banking channels, including physical branches, due to a prolonged transition to its new core banking application, Finale.
The transition, which was initially expected to be completed earlier, has taken longer than anticipated.
In a statement released by the bank, customers were informed that the scheduled reopening time of 9:00 a.m. has now been shifted to 12:00 noon today. The delay affects all banking channels, including branches, online platforms, and other digital services.
GTBank acknowledged the disruption and apologized for the inconvenience this may cause its customers, especially those relying on the bank for important financial transactions during this period.
“We understand that our customers rely on our services to carry out essential transactions, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay might cause,” the bank stated.
The bank reassured its customers that the transition to the new Finale Core Banking System is aimed at providing a more robust and efficient banking experience once fully implemented.
Customers are advised to remain patient as GTBank works to resolve the issue and restore full banking services.
GTBank expressed gratitude for the continued support and understanding of its customers during this time of change.
