Popular Nigerian filmmaker dies

Popular Nigerian filmmaker, Frank Igho Okpokoro Vaughan, has died.

Until his death on Tuesday, he was a pastor with Dominion City Church.

He also served as the Vice President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN).

He died in Warri after a protracted battle with illness.

A member of the family, Philip Okpokoro, a cinematographer and series director of ‘Nigerian Idols’ reality TV show, confirmed the news.

Vaughan, who is a seasoned movie director, was said to have reportedly played a crucial role in shaping the Nigerian movie industry and mentoring aspiring filmmakers.

He is a seasoned TV producer/director and also a current affairs and political analyst.
