VIDEO: Man assaulted after selling late father’s property worth N50 million to play bet

A disturbing video circulating on social media shows a young man being beaten by his family members after reportedly selling off his late father’s property, valued at over N50 million.
The man allegedly used the money to fund his music ambitions and gamble on sports betting.
The footage, which has since gone viral, captures two elderly women, believed to be relatives of the young man, angrily confronting him for his reckless actions. The women, visibly emotional and frustrated, are seen scolding him while others at the scene unleash physical punishment.
According to sources familiar with the incident, the property in question was a significant inheritance left behind by the young man’s late father. Instead of preserving or wisely managing the family asset, he reportedly decided to sell it, hoping to invest the proceeds into his music career and play sporty bets. The decision has left his family members devastated, particularly as there were expectations that the inheritance would be used for the family’s collective benefit or preserved for future generations.
In the viral video, the women can be heard expressing their disbelief and disappointment, reprimanding the young man for betraying his late father’s legacy and showing disregard for the family’s financial security.

Comments ranged from criticizing his gamble on an uncertain music career and sports betting to expressing sympathy for the elderly women caught in the aftermath of his decisions.
