Drama in Abuja as plane crash lands

A cargo plane operated by Allied Air experienced a landing mishap at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Wednesday morning.
The aircraft, identified by registration number 5N-JRT, crash-landed due to the failure of one of its landing gears.
The incident, which occurred around 10:05 a.m., involved six crew members on board.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the crew members are receiving medical evaluations at a nearby Nigerian Air Force medical facility.
Emergency teams quickly secured the area, with support from the Military Airport Commandant and other agencies.
As a result, the airport’s runway was temporarily closed, causing delays for inbound and outbound flights.
Efforts are underway to clear the damaged plane and inspect the runway for any issues to restore operations promptly.
Authorities have urged passengers to expect some delays as investigations continue.
