2027: Kwankwaso vows to slash APC votes

Former Kano State Governor and leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has pledged to drastically reduce the influence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State during the 2027 elections.

Speaking during a meeting at his Kano residence with former councillors, senior special advisers from his administration, and stakeholders from Tsanyawa Local Government Area, Kwankwaso vowed to cut APC’s votes in the state to as low as 15,000.

Reflecting on the NNPP’s performance in the 2023 elections, Kwankwaso credited his team’s determination for the party’s success, despite being a relatively new force that launched its campaign late. He noted that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) only managed to secure 15,000 votes in Kano during that election.

“We will work tirelessly to ensure APC suffers the same fate in 2027. Their votes in Kano will be reduced to less than 15,000,” Kwankwaso declared.

He emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilisation and urged his supporters to remain steadfast in their efforts to secure a landslide victory for the NNPP in the next election cycle.

Kwankwaso’s statement signals his commitment to reshaping Kano’s political landscape and intensifying the competition ahead of 2027.
