Ex-minister Ikoh to Nigerians: Embrace 2025 with optimism and hope

A former minister of State Science and Technology, Chief Ozurumba Henry Ikoh has congratulated the Abians and Nigerians in general for making it to a new year 2025.
He prayed that Nigerians and the people of Abia State should embrace the new year with optimism and determination in order to make the best use of the opportunities provided by the APC government in 2025.
Addressing party supporters at his country home in Oboro, Ikwuano LGA in Abia State, the APC chieftain expressed satisfaction with the people for their resilience and maturity in handling national economic issues and political developments in the country as it concerns indigenes of Abia State.
The former minister gave thanks to God for His grace and mercy that enabled us to be alive and healthy to witness the new year.
Chief Ikoh, however, called on the people to approach the new year with the fear of God and to have fath in His divine ability to secure his people and prosper Abia State.
According to the APC governorship aspirant, my appeal to the people of Abia is to exercise patience with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he implements his government economic development and empowerment programme contained in the 2025 budget of hope.
“My advised for the youths is to be productive and embrace skills acquisition and development which is a practical step for empowerment and wealth creation.”
The APC stalwart said being resourceful will enable youths to overcome poverty and the temptations occasioned by idleness which can lead a careless person to crime.
Chief Henry Ikoh requested the state government to prioritize skills acquisition programmes and support farmers in the State to attain their maximum potentials by providing them with the funds and necessary machineries that will boost food production in the state.
He added that food security is a major economic growth index for assessing the success of any government.
