EPL: Rashford ruled out of Liverpool clash – Amorim

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford will miss the team’s upcoming Premier League clash against Liverpool due to illness, manager Rúben Amorim has confirmed.
Speaking during a press conference on Friday, Amorim revealed that Rashford has been unable to train with the squad, ruling him out of the high-stakes encounter.
“Marcus is ill and is not training. I think he’s going to be out,” Amorim stated.
He emphasised that the player’s condition is similar to that of other squad members facing health challenges.
“The situation is still the same; he’s like all the other players,” Amorim added.
Earlier, Rashford dismissed as “ridiculous” claims that the unsettled Manchester United star is seeking a new agent to facilitate a move away from Old Trafford.
A report earlier this week alleged that the England forward had met with a leading sports agency to engineer a transfer.
The 27-year-old had hinted at being open to a “new challenge” during an interview last month, following a period of reduced playing opportunities under new manager Ruben Amorim.
A product of United’s youth academy, Rashford was left out of four consecutive matchday squads last month, beginning with the derby against Manchester City, and was an unused substitute in Monday’s defeat to Newcastle.
