Video of soldiers allegedly assaulting DSP trends online

A video making rounds on social media has captured a dramatic altercation between members of the Nigerian Police Force and soldiers, with a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) reportedly at the receiving end of the soldiers’ aggression.
In the clip, which has gone viral, soldiers are seen dragging and manhandling the DSP during a heated exchange. Though the soldiers’ faces were not visible, their voices could be heard accusing the senior police officer of assaulting their colleagues, a claim they used to justify the physical confrontation.

The incident has sent the social media platforms on frenzy, with many Nigerians expressing concern over the recurrent clashes between security agencies. The confrontation has also raised questions about inter-agency cooperation and discipline among law enforcement personnel.
As at the time of compiling this report, no official statement has been released by both the Nigerian Police or Military authority.
However, calls for an investigation into the matter and sanctions for any proven misconduct continue to mount as citizens demand accountability from the nation’s security forces.
