Kogi First Lady promotes harmony, honours women’s achievements in development


The wife of Kogi State Governor, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, has emphasized the importance of collective efforts in fostering development and unity in Kogi State, particularly among women and vulnerable groups.
Mrs. Ododo made this call during an anniversary dinner held at the Government House in Lokoja, which was organized to honour women across the state and celebrate their contributions to societal growth.
She praised the transformative impact of various women-centered initiatives and described the event as a platform to reflect on achievements and inspire further progress. Highlighting the need for peace and harmony across tribal, religious, and social lines, she urged all citizens to work together for the betterment of Kogi State.
She commended Senator Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative, noting its transformative impact on millions of lives nationwide. Describing Senator Tinubu as a compassionate mother of the nation, Hajia Sefinat praised her dedication to improving the lives of women and young girls.
The First Lady also expressed gratitude to her husband, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his unwavering support, which she credited as a key driver of her success. She reiterated her openness to partnerships that aim to uplift women and vulnerable groups in the state.
She extended her gratitude to women and various groups across Kogi for their support and belief in her initiatives over the past year.
The event, attended by women from diverse backgrounds, featured the cutting of an anniversary cake and a celebration of shared milestones.
