Portable arraigned in Ogun court

Popular Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has been arraigned before the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, following his surrender to authorities.
The controversial artiste turned himself in to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Yaba on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, after being declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command.
Portable faces charges related to an alleged attack on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development on February 5, 2025. The officials, who were carrying out an enforcement exercise at his bar in Sango Ota, were reportedly assaulted, leaving some injured.
While nine of his associates were arrested at the scene, Portable managed to evade capture until his voluntary surrender.
Born on March 12, 1994, in Abeokuta, Portable shot to fame in 2021 with his breakout song “ZaZoo Zehh” featuring Olamide and Poco Lee. However, his career has been marred by controversies, including public altercations and allegations of violent behavior.
The Ogun State Government has condemned his actions, labeling him a “serial dissident and unrepentant rascal.” Authorities have vowed to uphold the law, ensuring that individuals who engage in misconduct face appropriate consequences.
