Natasha speaks on clash with Akpabio, gives reason for her action

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has broken her silence following her heated exchange with Senate President Godswill Akpabio, revealing the alleged reasons behind the tension in the upper chamber.
Speaking on the Brekete Family show, the Kogi Central senator dismissed claims that she was acting erratic over a mere seat change, insisting that Akpabio and his allies had deliberately frustrated her presence in the Senate.
According to Natasha, she was removed from committees under the allegation that she was diverting resources to the North. She further alleged that she was excluded from both local and international assignments, forcing her to personally cover expenses whenever she attended such engagements.
Addressing the controversial seat relocation, she stated that she was not informed beforehand, adding that the move was strategically designed to make her invisible in the chamber.
“They planned to silence me by moving my seat to an extreme corner where cameras do not reach, and where, if I raise my hand to speak, no one will see me,” she alleged.
She also disclosed that Akpabio was unable to suspend her because she invoked her right to have her case reviewed by a disciplinary committee, as permitted by Senate rules. However, Natasha suspects that the Senate President is still considering her suspension, though she insists it would not stop her from performing her duties.
Meanwhile, the program’s hosts attempted to reach Akpabio for his response, but he reportedly cut the first call and declined to pick subsequent ones.
