Breaking: Arsenal’s title hopes suffers setback after defeat to West Ham

Arsenal’s hopes of securing a point at home were dashed as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to West Ham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Despite having the better chances in the first half, Arsenal struggled to find the finishing touch, with West Ham capitalising on their opportunities to take the lead.
The match took a turning point when Arsenal’s Lewis-Skelly was shown a straight red card after a VAR review for denying Kudus a clear goal-scoring chance with dangerous play. Playing with ten men, Arsenal struggled to break down West Ham’s resilient defence, and despite a late surge, they couldn’t find the equaliser.
With this defeat, Arsenal remain in second place in the Premier League, but now trail Liverpool by seven points.
