Man Utd enters agreement with Sporting for gem Quenda

Manchester United have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with highly-rated Sporting Lisbon youngster Geovany Quenda.
Though the negotiations with the Portuguese club remain ongoing as they demand £50 million for the promising teenager.
Quenda, 17, is considered one of the brightest prospects in European football. The versatile right-sided player, who can operate as a wing-back or further forward, has been a key figure for Sporting this season, featuring in 37 matches and netting twice.
United manager Ruben Amorim, who previously worked with Quenda in Portugal, is believed to be keen on bringing him to Old Trafford once he turns 18 in April. And, according to English reports, the youngster has already agreed personal terms in principle with the Premier League giants.
Reports earlier this year suggested that a summer transfer was all but certain, with United initially looking to secure the deal for around €40 million. However, Sporting remain firm in their £50m valuation, meaning further discussions will be needed before the move can be finalised.
As Manchester United look to bolster their squad with emerging talent, Quenda could become one of their marquee young signings for the future, provided the two clubs can reach an agreement on the final fee.
