NSCDC distributes keys of 140 housing units to personnel

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has distributed keys of 140 housing units to beneficiaries.
The housing units, which are located in Grand Luvu Estate in Masaka, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa, Deidei, Abuja, and Kuje, Abuja, comprise one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom flats.
While presenting the keys to the beneficiaries, Dr. Audi reiterated his commitment to providing an all-inclusive welfare package for personnel to enhance their livelihood and sustainability.
He noted that despite the housing deficit challenge, efforts are being made to provide affordable housing for personnel.
The Commandant General also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for an additional 102 housing units in Kuje, Abuja, which will comprise two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats.
The NSCDC personnel who benefited from the housing scheme are members of the Corps’ cooperative society.
The President of the NSCDC National Headquarters Cooperative Society, Assistant Commandant Isa Yusuf, praised the Commandant General for his support, which enabled the cooperative society to embark on the project.
The event was attended by principal staff officers of the Corps, as well as representatives from First Bank, AG Mortgage, and Intergre Brand Ltd, who delivered goodwill messages.
