1 killed, others kidnapped as bandits storm Abuja community

Bandits have killed a resident of Gaba community under Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The bandits who invaded the community at about 12 a.m on Wednesday also kidnapped two other residents in the area.
Gaba, is the village where the current Chairman of Bwari Area Council, John Gabaya hails from.
Sources within the community revealed that five residents were kidnapped and one person killed.
However, a police personnel who confirmed the incident said the Police are on their trail of the bandits.
Sources further revealed that contrary to reports that four persons were rescued by the police while two persons were abducted.
He decried the threat of informants within the community, saying it is a source of concern.
According to him, there are active informants living with the people and more needs to be done to fish these informants out. Vigilantes and Hunters are involved in complementary support to the Police.
The Commissioner of Police FCT is working very hard and making a lot of progress.
