Rivers: Fubara’s supporters block road against Nyesom Wike

Angry Rivers State group of women have blocked the road against the former governor, Nyesom Wike who is expected to visit the state today.
According to reports, the women are showing solidarity with the Ijaw people following Wike’s statement earlier this week dismissing the tribe as ‘minority of minority’ in Rivers state.
Supporters of the former governor have organized an event to honour him today and in order to show their grievances towards Wike, the women have staged a massive protest on the road to stop the former governor from passing through.
Furthermore, reports inform that one of Wike’s supporters was beaten during the protest for urging the women to exit the road.
