Mbappe favourites to win Ballon d’Or – Modric

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric praised Kylian Mbappe in his debut season at the ‘Merengues’.
The Croatian assured that the French striker will be a candidate to win a few Ballon d’Or if he continues like this.
Kylian Mbappe has struggled to adapt to his arrival at Real Madrid, but the French star has finally clicked and can boast of having scored 31 goals in his debut season with ‘Los Blancos’, with several games still to play this campaign.
The former Paris Saint-Germain player has most recently celebrated France’s progress to the Nations League final four after beating Croatia in the quarter-finals, where he has been pitted against his Madrid teammate Luka Modric.
The Croatian midfielder hailed Mbappe’s incredible potential, placing him as one of the favorites to win more than one Ballon d’Or in the years to come.
“If Kylian continues to do things like this, help Real Madrid like he’s doing… I’m sure he will be one of the favourites to win not one but a few Ballon d’Or,” he told ‘Telefoot’.
“He make things easy, maybe I’d never seen this before! What surprised me the most is the person he is. He’s an incredible guy, very humble, always joking with us, very calm”, he added. “They said it’s not his best season, and he scored 30 goals…”.
