Liverpool eye Juve star as TAA replacement

Liverpool are preparing for life without Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the star likely to leave for Real Madrid in the summer. As they look for a replacement, Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso has emerged as a key target.
Alexander-Arnold’s potential move to Madrid is almost confirmed, with the England international set to join the Spanish giants as a free agent once his contract expires. This departure is a significant blow for Liverpool manager Arne Slot, who had hoped to keep the 26-year-old at Anfield. However, the club has already started scouting potential replacements.
In addition to Jeremie Frimpong, who has been frequently linked with a move to Liverpool, and Conor Bradley, who has impressed when filling in for Alexander-Arnold, Cambiaso is a strong candidate.
The Italian defender, who several top clubs have monitored, is reportedly on both Liverpool and Manchester City’s radar. The Sky Blues were close to signing him in January as part of a squad overhaul, and they may rekindle their interest this summer.
Juventus, having recently parted ways with coach Thiago Motta, are under financial pressure and may need to raise funds. Cambiaso, valued at around £50 million, is a likely candidate to be sold to help meet those targets.
With both Premier League clubs looking for a right-back after Kyle Walker’s loan move to AC Milan, the Juventus defender’s future could spark a transfer battle between two of England’s biggest clubs.
