Breaking: Tinubu revokes housing allocations for defaulters under NHP

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, through the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has officially revoked the provisional allocation of houses under the National Housing Programme (NHP) for recipients who failed to meet the stipulated payment deadline.
The decision, announced by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Shuaib Muhammad Belgore, affects only those who did not fulfill the required full and outright payment within the 90-day period, including an additional eight-week grace period.
“This revocation strictly applies to recipients who failed to complete payment within the designated timeframe,” Belgore stated. “However, beneficiaries who made full payments on or before February 28, 2025, are not affected. They are advised to collect their Letters of Allocation and take possession of their houses immediately.”
To ensure transparency, the Ministry has published the list of affected individuals on its official website, https://fmhud.gov.ng, and will release it in national newspapers, including Daily Trust, The Nation, and Leadership, in the first week of April 2025.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to fair and efficient housing allocation, urging affected individuals to check the published lists or visit the Director of Public Buildings and Housing Development at the Ministry’s headquarters in Mabushi, Abuja, for further inquiries.
For more information, the public can contact the Ministry directly.
