2face breaks silence on disappearance, kidnap rumours

Legendary Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face, has finally reacted to the viral rumors about his alleged disappearance and supposed kidnapping—weeks after his mother’s emotional video sparked nationwide concern.
It would be recalled that the music icon’s family had raised the alarm over 2face whereabouts, with a tearful video of his mother accusing a certain Natasha—rumored to be his new lover—of kidnapping him. The clip made rounds on social media, fueling speculation about the singer’s safety, despite him being spotted at a few public events afterward.
Breaking his silence in his signature laid-back, humorous style, 2face used the stage of a recent comedy show hosted by comedian Acapella to address the situation.
“Allegedly, I have been missing. Allegedly, I have been kidnapped. So as we come Acapella show, this show is to generate money for the kidnappers to release me,” he joked, sparking laughter and cheers from the audience.
While the comment appeared to dismiss the rumors with sarcasm, neither 2face nor his family has released any official statement clarifying the circumstances surrounding the initial claims or the alleged involvement of Natasha.
As it stands, fans remain relieved to see the superstar in high spirits—even if the mystery surrounding the viral incident is yet to be unraveled.
