Fika-Malori road, Potiskum Mkt, a fulfilment of generational hope, by Mamman Mohammed

The construction of Fika-Malori road and the construction of a befitting market at Potiskum the commercial nerve center of Yobe state by the Governor Mai Mala Buni Buni-led administration has no doubt fulfilled the age-long dreams of the benefitting communities.
The road linking Malori, a very versatile agricultural community to the outside World had been a long nightmare with monumental difficulties for movement of people, goods and services.
To many, they are forced to go on leave of either getting in or moving out of the communities as soon as the rainy season sets in.
Today, that has become history with the construction of the road fulfilling the hopes of the people.
The road which is now at advance stage of completion has already spurred socio-economic activities in the communities.
The communities also expressed optimism of increased agricultural and other socio-economic activities with the easy movement on the new road.
Potiskum, the commercial nerve center of the state with huge economic engagements and potential is heading towards a new economic chapter with the new ultra modern market ready for commissioning.
For decades, the business environment in Potiskum had not conducive with most business outfits operating in makeshift squabbles and thatch roofed climes.
The construction of an ultra modern market in Potiskum will bring succor to the environmental problem faced by the relatively large population of the business community.
Similarly, the establishment of Sesame seeds processing plant in Potiskum to meet international standards would no doubt attract international businessmen to buy the seeds directly from the producers, stimulating massive commercial engagements to empower the local business communities in Potiskum.
The agitation for these projects have been long and unfilled, until now under the Buni administration.
Indeed, His Excellency Gov. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN has fulfilled the generational hope of the communities, and making them proud that these dreams have been fulfilled in their lifetime.
