Peller gives EFCC 24-hour ultimatum over Verydarkman’s arrest

Popular TikTok influencer, Peller, has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and all parties involved in the arrest of controversial social media critic, Verydarkman, demanding his immediate release.
Verydarkman was reportedly picked up days ago alongside an unnamed associate—who has since regained freedom—and taken to an undisclosed location. His continued detention has sparked concern among fans and fellow influencers who believe the arrest is unjust and politically motivated.
In a strongly worded video shared across social media platforms, Peller did not mince words as he criticized the EFCC and anyone behind the petition that allegedly led to the arrest. He called for the immediate withdrawal of the petition, warning that the critic’s continued detention was affecting many people who rely on him for support.
“If you know you’re the one behind the arrest of Verydarkman, I give you 24 hours to release him, and here’s why. You are blocking the people whom this guy feeds and donates to,” Peller said in the video.
He went on to recount how Verydarkman had come to his defense during a period of intense social media backlash following his stance on the 30-day rant challenge criticizing President Tinubu’s economic policies.
“This guy has helped a lot and changed a lot. I don’t do this, but when I was being dragged, Verydarkman stood up for me and posted my video. Release that man!” he added.
As the silence from authorities lingers, public pressure continues to mount online, with many calling for clarity and justice in the matter.
