Breaking: Again, Dangote reduces petrol price

In a move that signals growing competitiveness in Nigeria’s downstream oil sector, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced another reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, bringing it down to ₦825 per litre.
This latest adjustment comes just weeks after the refinery cut the price from ₦865 to ₦835, marking the second consecutive reduction aimed at making fuel more affordable for Nigerians and consolidating the refinery’s market presence.
Industry analysts view the sustained price cuts as part of Dangote’s broader strategy to offer greater value to marketers and consumers alike, especially as the refinery ramps up its influence in the domestic fuel supply chain.
The price drop is expected to intensify competition among fuel importers and local marketers, with potential ripple effects on pump prices across the country.
