HMB boss leads PDP members to APC in Delta

The Chairman of the Delta State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Paul Oweh, has officially led a group of former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members into the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Emevor Ward 7, Isoko North Local Government Area.

The mass defection follows the recent move by Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and other PDP stakeholders to join the APC.

Prominent among the new APC members are Dr. Nelson Egware, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media; Joseph Ekowhiro, SSA on Special Duties; Emmanuel Umukoro, SSA on Community Development; Mr. Wilson Khama, former Local Government Secretary; Chief Godwin Akamakusi, Chief Peter Ibiri, Surv. Samuel Irori, Chief Otobo Ugbome, and Comrade Eniwake Orogun, President of the Isoko National Youth Assembly.

During the welcoming ceremony, Dr. Oweh emphasized the need for all new members to register at their local wards to ensure full integration into the APC.

He called for unity between new and existing party members, commended Governor Oborevwori for the Emevor-Orogun Road Phase 2 project, and declared that the merger signals the end of opposition politics in Emevor and across Delta State.

The APC leadership in Isoko North, led by Chairman Barr. Daniel Emebuno, Vice Chairman Ufiobor Uloho, party leaders Deacon Isaac Osiobe and Deacon Patrick Emerhana, received the defectors and issued them official APC membership cards.

Emebuno assured the new members of equal standing in the party and urged collective efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to the press, Dr. Egware described the event as a historic turning point for Emevor, stating that the community would now speak with one voice in future elections.
