2027: Nigerians in diaspora declare support for Tinubu’s second term

Nigerians living abroad have declared their support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima for a second term in office come 2027.
Mr Ade Omole, Director of the defunct 2023 All Progressives Congress (APC) Diaspora Directorate, made this known at a Dinner on Saturday in Abuja at the Presidential Banquet Hall.
The proposal was seconded by other Nigerians in the Diaspora at the event, led by Hajia Khairat Animashaun-Ajiboye, an APC chieftain and a former Lagos State governorship aspirant.
The dinner with the theme:” Two Years of Impact: Honouring President Tinubu and the Voices of Renewed Hope” was to celebrate the Mid-term anniversary of the Tinubu-led administration.
“This is not praise singing, but truth telling , bearing witness to the great works being done by the Tinubu-led administration in the last two years.
“There comes a moment in the life of every nation when progress must not only be pursued, but also honoured, adding that today was such a day,” he said.
Omole, also the Convener of Renewed Hope Global said the Tinubu-led administration was not only counting the years, but weighing the impact.
“Today, we are gathered here as those nourished by the roots of a vision and as witnesses to the fruit of leadership that is bold, even in turbulent times.
“In the face of diversity, progress has not only emerged, it has endured and it must be celebrated,” Omole said.
He said the dinner was organised to salute the bold leadership, relentless advocacy and the many hands building Nigeria for tomorrow under the current administration.
He added that while the country under Tinubu may not be completely out of the woods, we had turned the corner and the light at the end of the tunnel was now in sight.
He noted that the Tinubu-led administration had delivered a series of landmark achievements that reflected a deliberate and strategic commitment to national transformation.
Omole further noted that Tinubu’s accomplishments span economic reforms, infrastructural development across the country, education, security and foreign direct investment, demonstrating the Renewed Hope Agenda in action.
“Yes the reforms have been bold and the choices not always been easy, but we must remind ourselves that real leadership doesn’t seek applause, it seeks results,” he said.
According to him, from economic recalibrations to institutional reforms, we are beginning to see the horizon as the indicators are turning in the right direction while confidence is growing.
He explained that the motion was
rooted in belief, patriotism and Renewed Hope, saying it reflected the confidence and commitment of Nigerians in Diaspora on the Tinubu-led administration.
Omole called for deepened engagement, strengthened unity, and recommitment to inclusive growth and national prosperity.
He added that Tinubu had led, and his team had delivered, saying the people must now believe and work together to build an enviable society for all.
“The future is not something we wait for, it is something we build together,” Omole stressed.
Dr Aliyu Modibo, the Special Adviser to President Tinubu on General Duties representing Vice President Kashim Shettima, lauded Tinubu’s unparalleled commitment to ensuring a Nigeria where all interests were protected.
Modibo was also a former Minister of the Federal Government Territory (FCT).
Dr Mustapha Abdullahi Director General of Energy Commission of Nigeria on President Tinubu’s solarisation initiative at the event which was attended by APC Chieftains, government appointees and State Governments representives among others.
