A heart-wrenching video has emerged from Yelwata community in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, showing a woman who lost her mother and all five of her children in the recent attack that claimed over 200 lives.

The massacre, which took place between Friday night and the early hours of Saturday, has left the nation in shock, with many still struggling to grasp the scale of the devastation.

In the emotional footage, the woman—visibly shattered and with eyes swollen from hours of weeping—stood before the press, recounting the horror that befell her family. She had not only lost her children, but also her beloved mother in the same night, leaving her with a pain many have described as unimaginable.

The video was shared by a UK-based Nigerian medical doctor known as @OurFavOnlineDoc on X (formerly Twitter), who wrote:

“This lady lost all her 5 children and she also lost her mother at the recent Yelwata Massacre in Benue State.
The pain is deep and piercing.
How do you console someone like this?
How do you tell her to ‘reconcile’ with those who wiped out her family?”

The Yelwata attack has been described by observers as one of the deadliest in recent times, with many victims reported to be internally displaced persons (IDPs) who had sought refuge in the community.
