Breaking: Popular actor Kenneth Aguba diagnosed with cancer

In a heartfelt update shared via the official Facebook handle of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), it has been revealed that popular Nollywood actor, Kenneth Aguba, is battling prostate cancer.
The update, posted on June 30, 2025, also marks exactly four years since HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, General Overseer of OPM Worldwide, rescued Aguba from life on the streets. At the time, the actor was reportedly homeless, living in an open market and begging for alms.
Since his rescue, the man of God has taken full responsibility for Aguba’s welfare — providing him with accommodation, clothing, meals, and a monthly allowance — all funded through tithes and offerings from members of the OPM church.
The post noted that a dedicated OPM pastor from the Enugu region has been assigned to cook for the veteran actor daily, and Aguba has been undergoing regular hospital visits after doctors diagnosed him with prostate cancer.
While Apostle Chibuzor reaffirmed his belief in God’s power to heal, he also acknowledged the importance of medical intervention, emphasizing that divine wisdom is what empowers doctors to treat illnesses. This philosophy, he noted, inspired the establishment of two OPM Free Specialist Hospitals where surgical procedures are conducted at no cost — open to both Christians and Muslims alike.
“All across our hospitals, the message remains the same: ‘We care, but God heals,’” the post read.
The church is now calling on Nigerians and the global community to join in prayers for the divine healing of Kenneth Aguba, as he continues his journey to recovery under the care and support of OPM.
