Fubara loyalists to screen senior lawyer as Attorney-General

The members of Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to Governor Siminalayi Fubara has invited a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Dagogo Iboroma, for screening and possible confirmation as a member of the State Executive Council (SEC).
The House, in a statement issued on Sunday night in Port Harcourt by its Clerk, Dr. G.M. Gillis-Harry, directed the Senior Lawyer to appear before the legislators this Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Admin Block, Government House, Port Harcourt.
Thediscovererng.com gathered that if confirmed, the Dagogo Iboroma, SAN will be sworn-in in as the new Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Rivers State.
Recall that the office became vacant about two weeks ago following the redeployment of the former occupant, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor, to another ministry by Governor Fubara.
Adangor, a loyalist of the immediate-past governor of the State and current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, however, resigned from the cabinet in protest.
