Plateau: 9 of 16 APC, LP members-elec take oath of office
Plateau State House of Assembly Speaker, Gabriel Dewan, has sworn in nine members of All Progressive Congress member of House of State Assembly on Friday morning.
According to the report, the house press corps was notified that the inauguration would take place at 10 a.m., although it was completed far early than 9 a.m.
Nine members were sworn-in based on the cases, as ordered by the Court of Appeal. Speaker Dewan said.
However, reliable source within the APC, revealed that the, “nine (9), sworn-in members, were made to sign an undated resignation letters, before swearing them.
“But the seven (7), others had refused to sign the resignation, and soon they will issue a statement.”
As for the Speaker of the House, 16 APC members are led by Hon. Gabriel Dewan of the YPP; in the meantime, Hon. Isa Ajiji of the APC has emerged as the deputy speaker.
Meanwhile, activities has been carried on since November, 2023 with only eight members without deputy speaker not until these morning Friday April 5 2024.
