Kwara mourns as deputy gov’s mother dies

The Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr Kayode Alabi’s mother
Mama Ena Maud Alabi pass away on Friday.
Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, announced Mama Ena Maud Alabi death in Government House on Friday.
The statement said that the mother of the deputy governor passed on in the early hours of Friday at the ripe age of 98 years.
According to the announcement, the deputy governor’s mother, who was 98 years old, departed away in the wee hours of Friday.
The governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has joined the deputy governor’s family, Mr. Kayode Alabi, in their grief at his mother’s glorious passing
“A Jamaican by birth and Nigerian by citizenship and marriage, the matriarch of the Alabi family went home in the early hours of Friday, April 5, 2024, at the age of 98, the statement said.
“She retired as a senior matron at Maternity Health center, Amilegbe, Ilorin in 1980, ending decades of impactful professional service to God and humanity as a health worker and caregiver.”
