Sanwo-Olu appoints new deputy chief of staff

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Governor, has appointed Sam Egube as the new Deputy Chief of Staff.
This is coming after the death of Gboyega Soyannwo who was buried last week after his death due to stroke-related ailments.
Egube was a former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.
His appointment was announced on Wednesday during the inauguration of 15 high-capacity ferries aimed at increasing ridership on state waterways.
In spite of being renominated as Commissioner in 2023, Egube was denied by the House of Assembly.
However, his expertise and knowledge of the state’s budget and economic planning will be valuable assets in his new position.
He will be sworn in as Deputy Chief of Staff on Thursday.
