Abuja gets new radio station

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja has gotten a new radio station, Peoples’ 105.5 Frequency Modulated (FM).
According to the owner, the station is mainly for news, music and entertainment.
The station is out to dish out undiluted information to FCT residents and it’s environs, even as they promised to be objective and fair in all their reports.
According to the Managing Director of the new station Mr. Steve Nwosu, a one-time Editor and Managing Director of The Sun Newspapers and publisher of Nigerian Xpress Newspaper, the new station was established to compliment the efforts of other existing broadcast stations in the country as well as change the face of radio broadcast in Nigeria.
He stated that with the calibre of tested broadcast journalists in it’s employee, the station will soon be a much sought after station in the Federal Capital Territory.
“Peoples’ 105.5 FM is out to inform, educate and entertain listeners. In doing this, we shall at all times ensure objectivity in our reports and dish out information that will be beneficial to the people.”
“Right now we’ve assembled some of the best hands in radio broadcast in the country because we want to change the narratives in the broadcast industry and I can assure our listeners that their interest will be protected at all times,” noted the veteran journalist.
