Abba Moro laments sustained attacks on Benue South communities

The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Patrick Moro, has expressed concerns over the sustained attacks on Benue South communities in Agatu, Apa, Otukpo and Oju LGAs by gunmen.
The latest attack was on Ikpelle and Egwuma communities, in Agatu LGA, where many lives and properties worth millions of naira were destroyed.
Senator Moro is worried that these killings are continuing unabated despite his repeated calls on the state and federal governments for intervention, to put to an end the unprovoked attacks.
The senator wondered why there’s no visible and deliberate effort by the governments to come to the aid of the innocent villagers who are now at the mercy of the invaders that attack at will and disappear into thin air without any trace.
He further called on government at all levels and the relevant security agencies to rise up to their responsibilities and protect the lives and properties of his constituents who are being maimed, killed and driven from their ancestral homes unabated.
