All Nigerian affair as Boniface scores, Agu nets own goal, Njimah grabs assist in Leverkusen’s vs Bremen

Victor Boniface marked his return to action with another goal in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-2 draw against Werder Bremen, his sixth Bundesliga goal of the season.
After missing their Champions League game after a recent car accident, Boniface’s 30th-minute strike put Leverkusen ahead, but Bremen’s Marvin Ducksch soon responded with an equalizer.
In a dramatic closing period, Nigerian-born Felix Agu accidentally turned the ball into his own net, restoring Leverkusen’s lead in the 77th minute.
However, Bremen staged a late comeback, as substitute Justin Njimah, also Nigerian-born, provided a last-minute assist for Romano Schmidt’s equalizer, sealing the game at 2-2.
Xabi Alonso’s team are now third having played a game more than Bayern Munich who are second, with Leipzig leading the table, also with a game more than Munich.
