AMVCA 2025: Desmond Elliot’s bold outfit sparks reactions online
Nollywood actor and lawmaker Desmond Elliot has become a trending topic following his dramatic fashion choice at the 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), held on Saturday night at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.
The prestigious event, known for its glitz and high-profile attendance, welcomed some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Nollywood stars, public figures, and alumni of Big Brother Naija. However, Desmond Elliot’s unique outfit managed to steal a significant share of the spotlight.
The actor-turned-politician stepped onto the red carpet in a striking long black corset-style ensemble, featuring an elephant portrait emblazoned across the chest of the doublet. Paired with flowing black pants and matching shades, the look sparked a flurry of commentary across social media platforms.
