Anambra commissioner, wife freed after kidnapping ordeal


Patrick Mba, Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, and his wife have been released after being abducted on Friday along the Edo-Kogi Expressway. The couple was en route to Abuja for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s daughter’s wedding.
Their freedom was confirmed Saturday night by a government official, ensuring their safety.
Tragically, one of the commissioner’s aides lost their life during the abduction.
Although the Anambra State government has yet to issue an official statement, The PUNCH first reported the couple’s release.
Details surrounding the kidnapping and rescue efforts remain unclear.
