APC chieftain commends Tinubu, military’s action against Bello Turji

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has commended President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian military for their decisive actions against notorious terrorist Bello Turji and other criminals destabilising the country.
In a statement issued in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye attributed recent successes against Turji and other bandits to the unwavering support provided by Tinubu to the military.
“The President’s backing has played a significant role in empowering the military to decimate terrorist groups and restore relative peace to troubled parts of the country,” Oyintiloye said.
He also commended Tinubu’s strategy of targeting the financial networks of terrorist groups, noting that it has significantly weakened their operational capacity.
“The handling of Turji, the terrorist who dared to challenge Nigeria, has proven that our military has the capacity to crush such threats and reclaim peace for Nigerians,” Oyintiloye said.
He praised the Federal Government for taking bold steps to combat terrorism by crippling its financial backbone, adding that these efforts have brought a sense of relief to many previously troubled states.
“I want to commend the President for minimising insecurity in the country. The strategy of disrupting the financial support of terrorist groups has led to notable improvements in security across Nigeria. I also applaud the military, the National Security Adviser, and other security agencies for restoring Nigerians’ confidence in our security framework,” Oyintiloye stated.
Calling for sustained efforts, Oyintiloye urged the military to adopt proactive measures to prevent terrorists from gaining dominance.
“The military must remain vigilant and stop these criminals at the early stages before they assume a larger-than-life, ‘Lord of the jungle’ posture. Turji nearly carved a country out of Nigeria for himself until the military reduced him to nothing,” he said.
He concluded by calling on Nigerians to continue supporting Tinubu and the security agencies, expressing optimism that the current efforts have set the country on the path to restoration.
