The All Progressives Congress (APC) said it deeply saddened by the passing into glory of elder statesman and third republic federal lawmaker, Senator Solomon Ayodeji Otegbola, the Asiwaju of Aworiland.
The ruling party described the late lawmaker as a respected chartered surveyor, parliamentarian, real estate mogul, traditional leader and politician.
In a statement released Sunday in Abuja by the party’s spokesman, Felix Morka, said: “our nation is thankful for Senator Solomon Ayodeji Otegbola’s leadership and solid contributions to socio-economic development, people-centered governance and cultural advancement, including his impactful tenure as Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District and Chairman of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA).
“Beyond politics and professional engagements, the late Senator Otegbola was a devoted family man, father figure, mentor, extraordinary leader, and an inspiration to many. We should take solace in the rich and indelible record of excellence, service, and dedication that he has left behind, and behoves on us to strive and emulate his inspiring example of service.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to Senator Otegbola’s family, loved ones, the National Assembly, the government and good people of Ogun State over this colossal loss.
“We pray God to grant eternal rest to the departed Senator, and to his family and loved ones, the fortitude to bear this huge loss.”
